Worship With Us

Join us on Sunday Mornings!

As United Methodists, we believe that living, studying, serving, and worshipping in community with other active Christian disciples is vital for our spiritual growth. We offer two worship services on Sunday mornings, a casual service at 8:30 a.m. and a traditional service at 11 a.m. Both services are also streamed online. We welcome you to join us on Sunday mornings to experience the community and connection that stems from group worship.

The beliefs and practices of The United Methodist Church are rooted in the early Church and strongly influenced by the leaders of the early Methodist movement, especially John and Charles Wesley, who were both priests in the Church of England (Anglican Church) in the 1700s.

While the United Methodist Church leaves many matters of Christian faith and living to the discernment of the individual member, the Church does have official teachings (“doctrines”) so that we remain united on certain basic matters of Christian faith and practice. Learn more about what we believe

Frequently Asked Questions

The majority of parking for the church is across Jackson Street, although there is some parking behind the church.

The casual service is held in the 50/50 room. If you are parked across the street, come through the courtyard (with the fountain) and enter through the door at the end of the covered walkway. The 50-50 room is all the way down the hall on your right.

The traditional service is held in the sanctuary. Coming from the courtyard, enter through the double doors on your left.

You should expect the worship service to be simple to follow, the music uplifting and the teachings meaningful, thoughtful and relevant to your life.

Wear what makes you comfortable as there is no dress code for any service. Most often the norm is business casual, but it is not unusual to see someone in a suit sitting next to someone in blue jeans.

Yes! Children are always welcome. During the casual service at 8:30, we provide a nursery if desired, but it is not required.

During the traditional service at 11:00, the children usually remain for the first part of the service. All children are invited to the altar for a children’s moment early in the service, and younger children who would like to attend children’s church in the chapel are invited to do so.

The Bride’s Room directly outside the sanctuary is also open on Sundays if parents need a quiet room for little ones where they can still hear the service.

Sunday School is available for all ages on Sunday mornings at 9:45. Sunday School offers a small group experience to connect with others in the church and to strengthen your faith. For children in Pre-K through fifth grade, we use the Godly Play curriculum to teach Bible stories and help children experience God’s love. There are junior and senior high youth classes designed to help teens establish deeper roots for their beliefs. There are several adult Sunday School classes to help members connect and offer support for one another and to grow their faith. Sunday School is held in between the two worship services. The nursery is also open for children too young to attend a Sunday School class.

Children and youth Sunday school classes are held in the Johnson Center, while adult classes take place in the adult wing of the church (near the kitchen).

We are “people of the Book,” whose faith is firmly rooted in and built upon the scriptures. We believe the goal of the Christian life is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love your neighbor as you love yourself.

From the beginning of the Methodist movement, we were known as “reasonable enthusiasts,” those who are both emotionally and intellectually engaged. We value passionate worship, relevant preaching, small groups to hold Christians accountable to one another, and service to those who are in need. We value the spiritual disciplines and take a “methodical” approach to growing in the faith. United Methodists value the full participation of women and men, people of all backgrounds in every facet of fellowship and leadership within the church.
